Hey guys

I promise this blog’s still around!

But we had to take a hiatus to get more submissions. It’s almost been a month and we still don’t have enough to set up a decent queue. I’ll stock with what we have now and I’ll tone down the amount being posted per day, but please send us your history fan ideas!

I’m thankful for my grandfather who always had time to share his experiences of WWII. He gave me a passion and a thirst to learn more even after he had passed away.

I’m thankful for all my high school history teachers that sparked my interest and opened up a whole new world to me. I don’t know where I’d be without them today, or what I would be doing with my life.

I am thankful to Edgar Allan Poe and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle for writing some of the best mystery stories around.

I am thankful for the revisionist historians that set the record straight regarding the ‘Thanksgiving story’.

Thankful for someone in History.

This year, all my thanks go to someone who, although criticized for something she once did in her life, is an altogether outstanding person.

Madeline Albright was the first female Secretary of State, however, she was also the first ever US female Ambassador to the United Nations, paving the way for leaders like Susan Rice to take the reigns.

She is truly everything I want to be in life, a strong character, an excellent politician, an academic, and strong-willed. She was criticized for an answer to a question on 60 Minutes, but I believe that she, like many other politicians, journalists etc. are only humans, and shouldn’t be expected to be perfect every time!

Although she is not in all the history textbooks yet, she will be one day, and I’m sure many other young girls like myself will be inspired by her.

Happy Thanksgiving!
